artnet is seeking a full-time Chinese-speaking specialist to join the Price Database Decorative Art Team. As an auction house service specialist, you will help collect and edit auction market data and maintain important partnerships with auction house clients. Working as part of a passionate team, you will ensure the successful operation of the artnet Price Database, the most complete illustrated archive of international fine art, design, and decorative art auction results in the world. Our specialists are responsible for daily updates, editing and translation, and building client relationships to ensure database accuracy and growth.

Working from our New York office, located in the historic Woolworth Building, you will work together to challenge and motivate one other as artnet leads the way in the growing art industry.


  • Copy edit auction information for inclusion in the Price Database
  • Provide Chinese to English translations
  • Edit the artist database by adding or updating artist biographies
  • Update and maintain a daily calendar of auctions Price Database updates
  • Provide support to the production of detailed art market reports
  • Identify client sales opportunities to promote artnet products
  • Build and maintain auction house member sites
  • Maintain relationships with clients to keep them engaged and proactive with the product
  • Help improve our products and services by contributing ideas regularly


  • Verbal and written fluency in Chinese
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in art history, fine art, or arts administration
  • Proficient knowledge of the PC platform, Microsoft Office, and Excel
  • Ability to multi-task and self-motivate
  • Professional email and phone etiquette
  • Excellent command of the English language
  • Writing, copy editing, and proof-reading skills
  • Organized with a strong attention to detail
  • Team-focused and able to work in a fast-paced environment
