Content Internship

artnet is the leading international platform to buy, sell, and research art online. We connect millions of collectors globally with the world’s leading galleries and auction houses, with a focus on making the art market more transparent while supporting our partners in growing their business online.

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our Content Team and assist in maintaining one of the largest archives of artist information in the world. In this role, you will be crucial to the core of our mission: providing transparency, expertise, and greater accessibility to the international art market.

We are looking for a strong writer to assist in all aspects of the production informational and promotional copy. We are a small team that collaborates with other departments on a variety of projects, and you will gain first-hand experience in a fast-paced office environment where strict attention to detail is paramount and creative thinking is a must.

Responsibilities:

  • Utilize in-house CMS to organize and input daily copy
  • Apply our in-house style guide across all of artnet’s written content
  • Thoroughly research artists and movements
  • Write succinct and informative artist biographies
  • Use SEO tools to guide strategic writing
  • Assist in interdepartmental team projects
  • Field ad-hoc administrative tasks

 

Qualifications:

  • Minor or major in art history
  • Passion for and knowledge of fine art
  • Familiarity with the contemporary art world
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Reading fluency in German, French, Italian, or other languages a plus
  • One or more previous art world internships a plus

 

We offer a daily stipend to cover transportation and lunch expenses, and encourage candidates to arrange to receive course credits from their college. artnet also provides regular extracurricular opportunities, such as museum and gallery openings, artist talks, and lectures.
